Ericson was purchased as a grand prix prospect for Amy with the support of Chuck Fipke and CF Farms, Rosemary Burton, as well as the Millar family. Before coming to Canada, Dutch rider Chantal Regter had developed Ericson up to the 1.30 m level with impressive results.
2019 was the breakout year for Amy & Ericson, with the pair starting strong and securing a second-place finish in the first FEI ranking class of the season in Palgrave, ON. They continued their series of top results with a number of top 10 performances, including winning Phase II of the Caledon Cup in September. Amy & Ericson jumped clear in three consecutive FEI classes in Saugerties, NY, and finished their season with great rounds at the prestigious Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.
“Ericson is a very talented and exciting horse for the future. On top of that, he is developing quite the fan club here in Canada due to his looks – he is a beautiful horse. Early in our partnership together we have had some really great results. He is just coming into his prime, and I am looking forward to our future together.”
